USPS Stamp Issues for 2022

The United States Postal Service (USPS) announced the release of several new stamps for 2022. There are always new stamp issues from the USPS, and this year is no different.

For 2022, the USPS has issued 36 new postage stamps with various themes and designs. This year's new additions include new designs for existing series such as the love series and Black Heritage series as well as new topics such as Title IX. Several of this year's stamps feature women, music, and more. The collection features a wide variety of stamps, twenty-six of which were initially announced on November 1st, 2021. Throughout the rest of 2022 several additional postage stamps were issued and made available to the public for purchase.

Each year the USPS adds to their previous offerings of forever stamps, postcard stamps, global/international postage and stamps for various mail rates such as two-ounce letters. The entire collection for 2022 is shown below:

This stamp's release commemorates the 50th anniversary of the passage of Title IX, a civil rights law prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sex in educational programs. Four different stamp designs depict various female athletes: a runner, a swimmer, a gymnast, and a soccer player. Laurel branches, symbolic of victory, are seen on the swimmer's red cap and in their hair.
