Postage Stamps Featuring Sports

The United States Postal Service (USPS) has a long history of issuing postage stamps with a sports theme. Over the years, many different athletes have been featured on these stamps, including some of the most famous names in the world of sports. The USPS has offered many sports-themed stamps over the years featuring Olympians, baseball players, basketball players, golfers, and more. Baseball players like Babe Ruth and Jackie Robinson have been featured on stamps, as have basketball legends like Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Olympic gold medalists such as track star Carl Lewis and figure skater Michelle Kwan have also been honored with their own stamps. By honoring these individuals, USPS helps to promote an appreciation for athletics and the importance of physical activity in our society.
